What's behind the tile

Most showers today are built on wallboard. Ours are floated in mortar.

It's how tile was set 50 years ago. The pan gets a hot mop liner. The walls get a mortar bed floated flat by hand. It takes longer. It gives the tile the flattest surface it can sit on.

In their words

The things that don't show.

"They really care about doing the job right, especially the things that don't show. Phil always is thorough in developing the correct build quality of the structure, plumbing and electric, not just the finishes."
Douglas N., kitchen and all baths remodeled

"I live in New York and would not be able to oversee the project directly. Raelene and her husband Phil were exceptionally professional, attentive to detail, and treated my house as if it was their own... weekly reports and photos."

Jenny S., full remodel of her late father's house

"Phil and Raelene allowed us to be as involved as we wanted to be... Throughout the duration of the project we could count on their dependability, perseverance, and attention to detail."
